Here it is - the list of the lucky winners of the various treats that were poured into our Christmas sack by Sky.

The generosity all dates back to the day in the summer when Sky invited a group of our riders to gather on the finish-line when the riders roared into London on the final day of the Tour of Britain.

Anyone remember who won?

Clue: there was a disqualification.

The names in the hat were those of the Raiders with the most regular attendance over the past couple of months.... the theory was that to win it you have to be in it.

So here we go;

Sky prize winners

Sky helmet - Albert Loxton-Beed

Sky back pack - Daniel Warhurst

Sky gloves - Stanley Loxton-Beed

Sky utility pouch - Luka Ferma

And from our own chest of stored treasures:

Raiders t-shirt - Annabel Canning

Raiders t-shirt - Chloe Stuart

To quote one parent: 'We all shovelled plenty of mince pies, chocolates and biscuits too, so Furzefield was the place to be.'

I'd missed out on the mince pie line and was elsewhere. If only.....

In fact my post-operation issues are such that I couldn't stand for that length of time and happily Paul Wright had volunteered to take over my coaching slot.

As a result I did push out the boat to test the water, so to speak, and I was hopping in and out of the car down at Charlwood where the 'racing academy' squad said they would fancy an airing if I could roll up and set the challenges for them.

There are a total of 10 in the little lot. Christian Bright was away doing cyclo-cross racing and Nick Gill was ill, but most of the rest rolled up and with a couple of race-pace dads we had a group of nine.

I'd roped in Sam Cheesman even though he is now 23, as he's working locally in Reigate and was race-fit when I last saw him a few years ago, though a Saturday night in London drinking too much whisky wasn't the best of prepaartion... especially when he was paired up with Matthew 'The Shredder' Ferguson in a two-up time trial along the flt road to the south of the airfield.

Two of the six had done a long ride already on Saturday with Redhill Cycling Club adults.... Matthew had been out with Dave Elliot (father of Ben) and Jo Matthews with her mum Catherine (100km with the G4 group). Making up the were Jamie Pullen, Alistair Canning and Max Mansell-Rowe (who roared up as soon as he could after a game of football earlier in the day).

After 90mins the plan was a different loop, this time with a hill, so away they all went and at least they picked the right road of the three options.

But 'The Shredder' must have duly shredded everyone, especially the slower (by now) dads.

The parents made the right choices at the various junctions, but found that they never seemed to met up with their offspring who had taken the wrong choices and seemed to be heading ever northwards towards who knows where, the Humber Bridge probably.

Perhaps Raiders should invest in some sort of GPS or homing pigeon to fly ahead of them all.... or I should have had the lure of mince pies on the finish line.
