Christmas school holiday road bike training - hill climb session

Meeting up venue: Norbury Home Farm, courtesy of Surrey Wildlife Trust

cars: park in the yard by driving into the farm, we have permission to park there.. it's called The Bothy and the Wildlife Trust have sent me a map as a pdf if you need that.

Plan: repeated climbs of the hill to the sawmill at the top... there is also one private house up there.

It is a private road but we have permission to use it. There might be the occasional car coming up and down.

Start: 12.00noon

Warm-up: beforehand with a parent would be good.

You need to be with a parent.... except for the likes of Matthew Ferguson, Nick Gill, Josie Shepherd and people/riders we know.

We typically run with several groups riding at different speeds... so the more parents the better.

We stop after climbs for recovery and re-grouping and thinking.

This comes with a reminder from nine months ago to say that I've been advised to draw up and follow guidelines on these training sessions.... they are printed out for reading through when you sign-on..... it is a must to read them through when you come for the first time.
